A new article published talking about how Big Food sees opportunity for profit from the rising popularity of weight loss drugs like Ozempic
There is a lot that’s crazy about this article. They suggest that frozen foods and snacks are a great way to induce portion control. They suggest that with the little calories the people on these drugs are able to get, that it’s a good idea to waste it on nutrient poor processed foods. And that they prop up junk food by saying cereal is a food source of vitamin D and popcorn a good source of fiber
But the absolute craziest part about this article is that all of these Big Food CEOs are showing you their hand and most of the world doesn’t even see it. All of the CEOs in this article are literally quoted with their plans for how they plan to profit from our health epidemic and the rise in popularity of weight loss drugs like ozempic which let’s not forget is happening because of Big Food in the first place.
An article like this makes it painfully obvious that Big Food will never care about human health. They will not take responsibility for the health of our society. And they will do everything in their power to profit off of their terrible products no matter the cost.
